Spring Carnival Brings Large Crowds

The Spring Carnival drew large crowds on the last Friday night in May. The weather held out even gracing the evening with a beautiful rainbow. Families and neighbors alike were able to visit and play together. The food booth sold out of hamburgers halfway through the night. Our new grills and volunteers cooked them and hot dogs and chicken to perfection. The children climbed and bounced their way to laughter on the blowup playground. Those with an artistic bent enjoyed the sidewalk chalk and face painting while the sports people enjoyed basketball tournaments and foot races. Water balloons rained down on children and adults alike in the very-popular Water Wars. The traditional games and activities were played by all. The Wii was a popular raffle ticket destination although every box had its share of tickets. Even the Saint Paul Police Department Mounted Patrol and the Company #3 from the Saint Paul Fire Department put in an appearance much to the delight of the children.
