The Horace Mann School web site (launched on Thursday, January 23, 2003) is a result of a generous gift of a "Content Management Tool" for websites from David Norrgard, CEO of Urban Planet, LLC of St. Paul, MN to the St. Paul Public Schools. This sophisticated tool allows schools to easily publish and maintain web sites. UrbanPlanet's internet solutions are tailored to the needs of non-profit organizations, education institutions and government agencies.
Lewis Scott, former Horace Mann School Principal; Kathy Kruger, a former Horace Mann Teacher, Chair of the Horace Mann Technology and Website Committee's; Jim Johnson, a former Horace Mann School Parent; and Steve Buettner, Manager of Learning Services - St. Paul Schools, coordinated the effort with Urban Planet, Horace Mann, and the St. Paul School District in developing the site. Graphic Design for the new school "Logo" and the website was provided by Lecy Design of Minneapolis, MN.
The "web design team" also included the supportive and dedicated Horace Mann Faculty & Staff, the Site Council, the PTA, and most important, the wonderful & enthusiastic Horace Mann School Students!
THANK YOU to everyone who helped and supported the creation of this exciting, informational and "fun" site.
A website is always a "work in progress." The site will always be changing as information is updated and added. You are invited to check back often...in fact, consider making the Horace Mann School Website your "homepage."
Please take a moment to complete the WEBSITE FEEDBACK FORM.
