| Math: We use the district curriculum called “Everyday Math.” It emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning and has the Minnesota Graduation Standards embedded in it. Unit tests are kept for conferences, but a summary list of skills and level of mastery will be sent home after each test. Home Links from the lessons are given as homework and are required.
An additional daily oral math program supports concept development.
Social Studies: We supplement the district curriculum with materials from other sources with an emphasis on map and globe skills. Highlights are our November Heritage unity and a spring geography and history unity on St. Paul / Minnesota and the United States. Several Field trips also support our curriculum.
