Specialists Availabe for Conferences Horace Mann specialists are available during conference time. Some specialists have a modified schedule. Please stop in the office to check the schedule or to get assistance in locating a specialist.

Why Wear A Visitor Badge? Visitor badges are now required for all parent/guardian volunteers and visitors at Horace Mann during the school day. (You may have also noticed that the staff is now wearing ID tags.) Many people have asked why the badges are required in such a small school community where most volunteers are well-known to staff and each other. It’s not because we don’t know who you are [Principal's Note: It will help me learn who you are.] – it’s so that a would-be intruder will immediately see that every adult in the building is identified as belonging here. “Strangers” will be obvious and will be noticed. Please make it a point to stop by the office, sign in and get a badge even if you’re only volunteering for a few minutes. The Horace Mann Site Council thanks you.

Calling All Scrapbookers We need your help in arranging some beautiful displays of historical pictures and records for the 75th Anniversary celebration. Please contact Eileen O'Connell Conzet (651-698-4620 or beconzet@msn.com) for more details!

School Comprehensive Improvement Plan (SCIP) Parent / guardian input is vitally important in the annual revision and updating process of the Horace Mann School "School Comprehensive Improvement Plan (SCIP)." The SCIP helps guide decisions on budget, staffing, and ideas regarding school growth and improvement. Please take a moment to complete the "on-line" form on our website, mann.spps.org. The feedback/comments you provide, by completing the form, will be forwarded to the Horace Mann School SCIP Committee. Thank you.

The Great Penny Challenge is coming Kris Knetsch is coordinating a challenge for all Horace Mann students. Each class will collect pennies during the week of March 26-30. Pennies in your jar count towards a class total. The twist is that silver coins count against the pennies, so students can donate silver coins to other class jars. Questions or willing to help count, call Kris at 699-4178.
