Volunteer Events Throughout the Year
Fall Fund-Raiser
This is the largest fund-raiser for the school.  Catalogs containing gift wrap, candy, and gift items are sent home with students in early October.  Students are encouraged to circulate the catalog among family and friends but are not required or encouraged to go door-to-door.  Chair: Deanna Olson  651-603-1630 deannaolson@usfamily.net 

Scholastic Book Fair
The book fair is November 14-20th.  Scholastic books are sold 3-4 days in the library.  The proceeds from the sale are by the librarian and volunteer staff to update the library collection. Chair: Chris Aerts 651.699.6575 chrisbillaerts@comcast.net

Hospitality Committee
The hospitality committee provides a meal for the teachers during parent-teacher conferences, and refreshments for the fall orientation and the spring kindergarten round-up. Events are typically in September, November, March and April.  Chair:  Liz Krelitz  651-698-6107  kreli6@aol.com

Make It Take It
This craft night is December 7th.  Everyone is invited join in the fun of creating great crafts and gifts for every age!  The evening also includes a scrumptious Bake Sale.  Volunteers are needed for preparation as well as working at the event.  Chair:  Danica Linssen 651-698-1060  djlinssen@yahoo.com  Co-chair needed!  5 Craft Prep volunteers: 1-3 hours each.  Some projects may be done in your home. 45 Event volunteers: 1-2 hours each

Read-A-Thon
Students collect pledges for the minutes they read.  Prizes are awarded to children who complete their monthly reading calendars.  The event requires 1 coordinator and 3-5 volunteers. Chair: Julie Schulz 651.690.4034 jschulz675@comcast.net

Silent Auction
This is a fantastic fund-raising event.  Volunteers are needed for planning as well as working the event.  The event is scheduled for February 22, 2008.  Chair:  Tom Youness 651-690-8985 tyouness@comcast.net

Spring Carnival
This fun-filled evening of games, activities, food and raffles will be held May 30th.  Carnival is one of the highlights of the school year!  Volunteers are needed for planning and coordination of the event.  This school wide event relies on participation from the entire school community. Spring Plant Sale
This spring fundraising project sells plants from Gertens Nursery (via pre-paid orders).   The sale requires volunteers the day of delivery to unload, sort and organize the plants.  Plant pick up will be May 8th.  Chairs: Kari Chase 651-690-4432  karichase@gmail.com and Lois Johnson 651-698-3703  johnson8297@earthlink.net 8-10 volunteers needed

Box Tops For Education
This fund-raising program is sponsored by General Mills.  The GM qualifying seal on participating products are collected.  The box tops are redeemed for cash from General Mills.  Everyone can collect the box tops, the program requires 1 coordinator. Kemps Milk Fundraiser
Kemps specially marked caps or proof-of-purchase symbols are collected.  The caps are redeemed for cash from Kemps.  Everyone can collect the milk caps, the program requires 1 coordinator. Chair: Betty Haley 651.690.1441
