| Students receive a weekly list of 15 - 20 spelling words. Practice is incorporated into each school day, and families are encouraged to provide daily practice at home too. The spelling test is given on Friday.
The following practice steps are effective:
- Look at the word and say it
- Look at the word and spell it out loud
- Cover the word and print it
- Uncover the word and check it
